I've been trying to contact the company about the issue where I've been charged the money (checked my bank account) but still am not getting the product.
The product in question is this:
Textured Gesso and Watercolor Papers
Purchased in app.
What happened was I accidently closed the pop-up that directs me to paypal. It did it and I went to the paypal page and paid, but when I went back to Painter, it still showed up as I have to buy the set to use it. It is also missing from my library.
I'm getting kind of discouraged as I sent a help ticket multiple times and no response. Am I out the money I paid?
I tried the restore purchases per request of the help ticket, but it doesn't show up.
Did or can you download the purchased items? If you can, do so and then install from the download.
Once installed you can save as an exported item so it is easier to install in the next Painter updated version.
I can't. I looked up the order page in my email and there was no download. At this point I wonder if I am better off asking for a refund. I've heard not a peep from customer service about my lack of download link or download of this product.
Okay I submitted a case through paypal.
Looks like paypal will refund me the money. I should have asked for the full $9.99 instead of just $9, but that was my mistake. I would have preferred the product to the refund, but it appears that wasn't possible.
I'm kind of upset, because for the most part I've had good customer service, but I don't know what is the deal about this one item.
They should have it in bold when you do an in app purchase DO NOT CLOSE THIS WINDOW or your purchase will be for naught. Or if not that always include the download link in the email. Not just for purchases done on the site. So far I've noticed if you do the purchase inside the program, it will send you an email with your order number, but it does not include a link to download in case something like this were to happen. Thus it sets both the customer and the company up for situations like this.
