Hi all, not a real serious issue, but i wonder how i can be rid of the splash/welcome image when i startup Painter 2021. while it does not effect software in any negative way, i do find it kind of cheesy, and to be honest it really bugs me. would appreciate any help. thanks
Hi - You can not make the splash screen go away but you could change it. Assuming you are English Windows OS go to C:\Program Files\Corel\Painter 2021\Resources\21.0\EN\Splash Screen\Default, here you will see the set of image that are shown at various screen resolutions. You can update and replace these to something you like. Note: The application likes "clean" version of png files here, if you are having issues when launching you may need to resave the png with all metadata removed. I would also keep a copy of the files shipped with the app as a backup. To turn off the Welcome Book, hover over the gear icon top right corner and you should get the option to "show on startup" on/off.
it worked! did as you said and removed the first splash from a bunch of them. nothing comes up now, but software loads normally. thanks so much for that!!
