Will be interesting to see what you can do with the AI chips on Apple silicon.
will also be interesting to see how much you can accelerate brushes and canvas manipulation with apple’s Metal.
and that ultra low latency Apple Pencil should give a whole new sense of highly responsive materials.
Kind of a shame that Apple products typically break installs within a year of installation... or so it seems from plaints on the forum.
**apple ports of corel products.
Eyeh, can't tell if it's the ports or the updates. The common plaint around here seems to be that their OS got upgraded and their Corel Painter install stops working, forcing them to upgrade.
apple silicon retail mac models are yet to be officially announced, but todays' surprise update to Clip Studio Paint added native support for this technology.
last time apple switched architecture during painter IX release cycle we had to rely on emulation (which was bloody slooooow), and for painter X to arrive supporting intel natively.
I'm very curious to see corel tackle this. maybe there's potential for some interesting brush developments there. painter 2029 come through!!!!
Great to hear about Clip Studio upgrading already 'tho!
Clip Studio is my favorite drawing app (pen and ink), painter is my favorite painting app.
