Thank you for posting your observations, feedback and suggested workarounds for the brush lag after undo issue in Painter 12.1. We are very aware of the issue and the team is working on a hotfix for Painter 12.1 that we expect to have out in the coming few weeks. Other projects are on hold until this is resolved.
To alleviate brush lag after undo, please consider taking the following steps or workarounds
• Use the eraser tool instead of undo
• Minimize the number of documents you have open in Painter
• Free up as much memory as you can by closing other applications
• Turn off the high quality display feature
• As a last resort, save your work and restart Painter
