SketchBook Pro and ArtRage are the same in both the desktop version and the Android version. SketchBook and ArtRage looks and behaves the same on both platforms, got nearly all brushes, the same brushes even! and some tools in both versions.
Not so in Painter Mobile. Corel made the Android version different in every way. I wonder why.
nokiot9 said:because the suite for desktop is an extremely powerful and diverse program, much more so than sketchbook pro, ive never used AR. so it follows to reason that it would contain more info than a mobile app can handle or than your phone or ipad could run. even some desktops and laptops have trouble running some of the more complex brushes . like the watercolor and texturing ones specifically.
That is all true, but that was not the question.
The question was: Why is it so different?
I got the answer to that. Painter Mobile is just a stripped down version of Infinite Painter by Sean Brakefield. Corel Painter looks and acts the same as Infinite Painter. While ArtRage and SketchBook Pro are in-house apps that are made to look and behave as close as can be to their desktop versions.
