Does anyone know if there is a way to assign shortcuts to custom palettes in painter 2019?
The organizer I see is listed under 'Customize keys' and can get a shortcut, but what about added palettes? It would be really nice being able to just bring the custom palette with brushes out every now and then, not having to rely on tab which smacks on/off all open palettes/windows.
there's no direct way to use shortcuts for custom palettes for reasons unknown (some other minor palette features are also not available for custom key assignment despite being actively requested in the past.)
Thanks for letting me know! To bad though that it issn’t possible. I’ve come to go for as little besides the actual canvas as possible and it feels really nice just focusing on the image, and also geting that extra little screenspace. And switching brushes from a few select favourites bringing them forward every now and then seems like one of the really basic operations one would like to do during a painting. If anything, besides picking color can it really get more of a basic operation to have shortcut for than that when painting.
which also kind of reminds me that if you stack the custom palettes with say a mixer or a color wheel, you'll be able to hide or show both simultaneously by hitting the respective shortcut - it's not the most convenient concept, but might be at least a bit better than nothing at all.
That's a good tip. It's definitely something I can use myself.
God tip!, I tried it out but then think I found another sort of a way that makes med happy for now, I simply switch off all palettes and whatnots besides the canvas. I then open a select custom palette with the brushes and can then switch it on and off with Shift Tab, and use shortcuts for others like layers and such. Also with the presentation mode it's all canvas and it feels so nice :)
