I am new to Corel Painter Essentials 7 and have traced a sketch over a photo I took using Paint by Hand. I would like to view only my sketch and not the photo with the sketch. I tried toggling the tracing paper off but the entire image disappears. How can I view only my sketch?
Was the sketch on a separate layer?
No, only a single layer.
Ah, well, there's really not much that can be done then, I suspect. Unless I;m missing something, the only data that Essentials 7 has at the end of your sketching is that you pasted an image in, and then drew on top of it.
I may be misunderstanding, though. I don't currently have Essentials installed since I picked up a copy of Painter 2019, and I'm not 100% on how the "Paint by Hand" works. It sounds like it essentially allows you to paint with the colors of the underlying image, and usually, there's some sort of setting for whether those are displayed, sometimes even with a level of transparency.
Thanks anyway. I have been in touch with Corel support but so far they have been no help. They don’t seem to understand my question. Have a good day and stay safe. Thanks again.
