What do people think of Painter 2022? I know it just came out, but...
So far seems faster compared to previous version, im really enjoying the new cover mode, specially in brushes smaller than 3 size, makes detailing easier, also the sprays in this mode leave nice gradations. also im enjoy the navigator in grayscale. I really wish they improved brushtracking, but maybe on the next round.
Also im digging the icons, at first i get mad with digital watercolor, but now its way way easier compared to old ones. Need to keep testing to see if its more stable, so far so good.
Forgot to mention, the thing ive been screaming at corel for years, we finally get a colord dodge layer mode...those gorgeous effects, specially for sunsets and powers are gold.
I'm excited to try it out like I haven't been for the last 2 releases. I'm still on Painter 2019 so have missed all the acceleration improvements over the last two versions. This version seems to be about straight up improvements to core artist needs which I'm happy to see. I had just put in an ask about more blending modes and was surprised to see color dodge come in as well. I'm sure it had nothing to do with my request but glad to see it.
Been testing it and finally i can stop getting jealous from other apps that has it.
Would you say it's worth the $200 dollar upgrade price?
