I had Corel Painter x3 educational edition, now i heard in some forums that for educational license, you can't upgrade it into full commercial license?
I would like to upgrade mine into Painter 2015 for commercial works.
I can't say for sure - because I haven't checked the small print - but I believe if you want a regular, commercial Painter 2015 then your only option is to buy the full license. There are no upgrades form the educational license.
If you are still in full time education in some capacity then you can buy an educational version of Painter 2015. I am even less sure about the limitations regarding the production and selling of commercial artwork using that version - some software houses allow it, others don't.
The production and sale of commercial art work is not allowed under the license for the Educational/Academic version of Painter. The reduced fee is given so that students can learn to use the software, not so students can profit from it. Regarding upgrades, Joe is correct. You also cannot upgrade from the Educational version of the program. You must begin at the beginning by buying the full commercial version.
Ouch, okay, thank you very much Joe and nightshadow :).
