i downloaded the trial of painter essentials 6 and then painter 2019 and in both cases only a few of the brushes worked when i used my wacom. When using the mouse pad on my laptop they work fine but on the tablet most brushes seem to just come out blank or make small smudges when going over other lines of paint. im using windows 10 and an intuos 5 touch tablet with the latest driver installed. i have tried using the previous wacom driver and reinstalling my wacom. Their customer support ran me through all the settings to change and check that they could think of and the tablet works fine otherwise so they said it must be a problem with painter but i just cant figure out what it is. please help!!! xx
In Painter check the Tablet Preferences too. If set for Wacom try then even older Wacom drivers, and also contact Corel support.
yes i did that too and all the available drivers for my wacom ugggg
and yeah i will be contacting corel support very soon. this is so frustrating.
JUST REALISED IT IS TO DO WITH THE WACOM!!!!!!
i accidentally realised that if i push SUPER hard with the pen it comes out as it should so i must need to adjust some pressure setting somewhere....now then.....hmmmmmm....which setting could it be......
woah that was easier than i realised. for anyone else who experiences a similar problem, i went onto my wacom tablet properties and changed the 'tip feel' setting to soft (its a sliding dial thingy) xxxxx
does this only happen with a small number of brushes? they might have individual brush calibration settings applied to each other within painter, look up window -> brush settings -> brush calibration panel, and pay attention to their individual pressure settings.
I also recall that some versions ago painter brushes could accidentally go haywire, producing various odd input values in a seemingly random manners, it might be that this issue has resurfaced again on your installation.
hope this helps x
