My brushes are getting slow to respond when switching them. Is there a reason why? A couple of days it was working fine, quick, and now it is slowing down. As for rotating my image, I work on a Mac, and using the short cut keys, and when I do, my image is slow to rotate, or very quickly and it is difficult to get it at the angle I want. Any specific reasons why this is happening> Thanks.
I am getting the same, switching between brushes, switching between tools I reset the workspace and it helped for a while and also if I restart Painter it helps for a while and then goes back to being slow. It's So frustrating it's so slow that I get the spinning wheel is if its about to crash I am at the point of going back to 2016 I jut can't work with it and I use it for my job.
What OS are you using?
Did you install last updates? which update do you have installed?
When did you start seeing this lag or slowness?
Are you using any device like Wacom tablet?
Thank you in advance,
This has been happening right from when I first installed the application
Here are my details: OS X El Capitan 10.11.6: Processor 2.5 GHz: Memory 12 GB: 424.09 GB free space
Wacom Tablet: Intuos Pro PTH-851/K with up to date drivers but as of last night removed tablet and reinstalled using previous drivers as thought the drivers might be causing the problem but still slow
Switching between tools in particular the eyedropper and paint bucket tool is slow I always get the spinning wheel lag times vary but can be anything up to a minute or more.
I also have something strange where I can't name layers or groups - sometimes I can but more often I can't and sometimes the word I type sits on top of the layer number.
Occasionally I will click on a layer and all layers in the layer pallet disappear which means I have to restart it.
But the thing that is bugging me the most is the slow switching between tools.
