Doing P20 trial, most everything I tried is working OK, but found a bug, consistent every time:
If I try to move an icon in a custom panel (shift+drag), P20 immediately locks up (in a 11% CPU loop in win10 task manager) and cursor sticks at selection icon with ghost of paintbrush showing too. Cursor moves OK with mouse or Wacom pen; just won't accept a mouse click.
Nothing works in P20, can only close via task manager "end task". Mouse works OK for everything not P20.
My PC spec give all green for performance of P20.
Start P20 and it is OK, setup to last saved workspace and works normal (except for custom panel icon move).
Anyone have a solution? or something to try for a fix?
I can't suggest a solution, just that I can't get the issue to happen on my machine.
My PC misses out on one of the specs but seems to work okay overall.
I did find that I can drag a brush and it makes a new custom panel OK. I just can't drag an icon within the panel.
Restart P2020 makes no difference.
I'll try cold start PC after turned off overnight and see it that makes a difference.
Good to know it works elsewhere.
Still a bug. Cold start and restart of PC and multiple restarts of P2020 makes no difference. I thought it might be because I had imported a custom panel from P19. So I made a new custom panel in P20 and placed 5 text icons; which makes the panel wide so I shift+dragged 1 icon and it worked. Tried another shift+drag icon and P20 locks up; every time as described above.
I am now convinced it is a bug and I'll have to work around the problem as it is not a show stopper.
Hoping any others who find this a problem report it to Corel P20 team and it gets fixed in a soon to be fix update.
Never had or have similar problem using P19 on same PC.
Continuing research by me. Since could maybe be the workspace, I went back to the startup default P2020 workspace as I was working previously on a workspace I created in P2020 (did not import P19 workspace).
Still have same problem but slightly less . . . I made a custom palette by shift dragging in 3 brushes from brush selector panel; worked OK and I could move them via shift+drag). So I added 3 (add command dialog box) text icons from different menus, they all added OK, I moved 2 of them and on try to move one more, frozen/lockup P2020 which I could only fix via task manager P2020 shutdown.
Looks like a bug to me.
Being very careful to first click on icon, and then hold shift key, then drag, I am having mostly success. Maybe I was doing shift key first or at same time...but I'd expect it would not work, not crash.
Will keep working at it but maybe I have found my solution...carefully, slowly, in exact order...in case it happens to anyone else.
