So when ever i start up the program and than go to pick a brush, the program crashes, there is not really an error sign except for when windows says the program crashed. This happens every time i try to pick a brush.
I am currently emailing back and forth with customer support but so far nothing is working.
I tried reinstalling and deleting the temp files
Thank you for your time on helping me with this!
I am using windows 7
Wow, that's a strange one..ok picking at straws but here are some thoughts /questions so hopefully we can get you painting:
Did you reboot at some point after re-installing?
Does it happen when you switch tools? (i.e. select eraser, gradient tool, dropper, etc.)
with and without a document open?
Does this happen with a mouse or a tablet?
If with a tablet, can you try with a mouse? Any luck? What about with the tablet unplugged?
Another idea is to try without the tablet driver installed (uninstall your tablet driver, then reboot)...any luck?
Did you install Painter to the default location, do you have a typical hard drive config (i.e. C:\program files\ etc.)
Lots of space free on the c-drive?
1. Yes I rebooted after installing
2. Does not happen with any other tool, i am able to create new documents and pick any other tool
3. Both with and with out documents does it happen
4. It happens with both mouse and tablet
5. Tried without tablet driver to no luck
6. It is installed in default location
7. Plenty of HD memory
Problem still persist, been talking to support and still no results. I have tried reinstalling, deleting temp files, resetting factory settings by holding shift and clicking on corel painter 2019
I am at a lost at the moment, please help, anyone
I have an open support ticket for a different issue relating to brush selection.
On the off-chance that the root cause is the same, try changing the layout to "Simple" and see if you can change brushes using the icons at the top of the simple layout toolbar.
I will give that a try for sure, and will update you to see of that worked, thank you for the suggestion! Much appreciated
