One of my favorite acrylic brushes is Real Wet Brush. I worked fine up through Painter 2020. But, I guess the underpinnings of it have changed. It now looks like a particle brush. I would like to continue using it through future versions of Painter. My workaround is to use Painter 2020.
Other suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks, Hal Work
I should have said that it works fine in Painter 2015 not 2020.
Sorry about that, Hal
Does it still work differently if you access it in the year-appropriate brush library?
Yes good suggestion, Fuzzyboots...Hal, you can also do this:
1. Export the brush from Painter 2015 (select the brush then go menu>brushes>export>brush...)
2. Import the brush into Painter 2021 (menu>brushes>import>brush..)
If I access it from the year-appropriate library, it appears particle-ized.
I'll try the export-import ...
Ok sounds good keep us posted. If it is somehow still 'particlized', it would be helpful to get a screenshot of:
-the general panel in Painter 2015 (via ctrl/cmd_b)
-the general panel in Painter 2021 (via ctrl/cmd_b)
I'm super curious if somehow a setting is getting changed...TBH it's nothing I've seen before ... legacy brushes pretty much always have the exact same look/feel betwen versions, what is usually seen is warning messages. Any way we'll see what happens!
