Hi,
Recently I've been having a sporadic problem with performance in Painter 2022. It's most notable when hatching, but occasionally when making strokes the stroke will either be delayed or not show up at al. In some cases there is a gap within a stroke as if the program stopped rendering for a moment. I've noticed as well that the benchmark score is lower than what it used to be as well. I used to score around 13-15k, but the brush accelerator seems to hover around 8.5k.
I've tried the following solutions I could find and think of
After attempting these solutions the problem would seem to go away initially, but it would then return later during a session or the next day. The brush accelerator would mimic this same behavior too initially sometimes starting off as 13k and going as low as 7k. The only way to seem to get consistent performance(regardless of brush accelerator) is to change from Wintab to real-time stylus, but this comes with a couple of problems where everything does register but there is a noticeable bit of lag when using things like the colour wheel and I'm unable to use the brush tracking feature. I don't experience any issues with input or lag in any other art program such as clip studio, affinity photo, or rebelle 5 and I'm at a loss as to what could be causing the problem.
I have a 5800x with a 3060 and 32GB ram on Windows 11 if knowing the specs helps. The Tablet I'm using as well is a Wacom 16
Sure, here is a link to the brush it was noticed happening with the most:

Not sure if this is good or bad news. I tried your brush variant and it seems to work perfectly fine with both mouse or Wacom pen. My system similar to yours except I'm using win10.
It's good in sense it narrows things down a bit more.
As an update:
I've done several part swaps since my last post to test various settings and and configurations with software and hardware. In the end the solution(s) I came up with were....odd.
1) I mentioned earlier that using "Real time stylus" seem to make the issues go away. (Though it should be noted windows ink needs to remain on). This seems to be a consistent "fix" for both the Wacom 16 and the Xppen 16 pro I have on hand.
The problem with this solution though is it comes with some downsides. You can't use brush accelerator at all, Brush tracking will not allow you to draw in the window to fine tune settings, colour wheel has noticeable lag input, and generally the input seems "off". Though it should be mentioned that the XPPEN while exhibiting the same behavior can do an initial brush tracking and the eraser on the pen actually functions(does not work when using Wintab)
2)So the first solution is kinda "meh" to say the least. However I cam across a second solution and that was to change the brush stylus from "Single pixel" to "Enhanced Brush Ghost". Which seems odd because you'd think single pixel would have less issues and is my preferred cursor. Occasionally the ghost cursor might freeze up, but all my strokes are detected with out any issues at all and the program functions as normal.
Attached an image as example of what occurs in 2. Red circles indicate where the strokes were not correctly detected.
