Color of the Past

This is an abstract that is meant to invoke the look of native American art. I just started with a circle and worked from there. It has a light texture in the circle along with a different one in the background. Work done in Painter X and PSP X2.

Spring fowers

This was actually started with a non flower photo. I used some techniques to create a base then went over it with a brush in PX to paint the flowers. Finally smudging and bluring the background completed the picture.

Solstice Drummer

This is a painting of one of a number of drummers during a winter solstice celebration in 08. In addition to Painter X, I used PSP X2 and a Fractalius filter.

Yellow Feather

This was done from scratch, (no photos were harmed). I have worked this painting on and off for a couple of months an I am now going to leave it as is. I wanted a Am Indian look. I used Painter X and PSP X2.

Daffy Blue

Created in PSP X2 and Painter X, this is a daffodil where I used a negative image to get the blue effect.

Pray to the god of light

This is a composite picture using clouds and a picture I took at a balloon glow (on a dark, cold night). People are actually warming their hands but it looked like they were praying to the flame. (used PSP X2, PX, PE4).
